Update: WSOP Europe To Begin This Week
Cannes to host the fifth edition of the prestigious competition Poker fans and players are all anticipating the beginning of the fifth World Series of Poker Europe, which will be held from Oct. 7 in Cannes, France - a venue that will be able to host the biggest edition of the event yet. The venue comes from the partnership between the owner of WSOP Europe, Caesars Entertainment, and the French casino group Barriere Casinos, which has already funded 100 seats into the WSOPE No-Limit Hold'em main event. According to WSOP Communications Director Seth Palansky, the company 'has committed to running the WSOP Europe in the congenial Mediterranean surroundings of Cannes for at least the next two years.' The schedule for the tournament is the following: Oct. 7: 6-Handed Hold'em with a buy-in of Euro 2,680 Oct. 8: No-Limit Hold'em - buy-in Euro 1,090 Oct. 10: Euro 5,300 buy-in Pot-Limit Omaha event Oct. 11: Shootout Hold'em with a buy-in of Euro 3,200 Oct. 12: No-Limit Hold'em Split, buy-in Euro 10,400 Oct. 13: 6-Handed Pot Limit Omaha with a buy-in of Euro 1,620 Oct. 15: WSOPE Main Event - buy-in Euro 10,400 Oct. 15: Ladies Event NLHE buy-in Euro 550
