Possible Good News for Massachusetts Online Poker
Winslow proposal still has a chance but may be diluted Rep. Dan Winslow's proposal to legalise online poker in Massachusetts was diluted before it passed the House vote and then been removed from the Senate version by the Ways and Means Committee before a final vote last week. However, there is still a chance for the bill, in a somewhat weakened form, because there were so many amendments to the original intentions to introduce expanded land gambling in Massachusetts as well as because different versions emerged from two legislative bodies: a bi-partisan conference committee composed of three members from the House and the Senate, which will now refine the bill into a final version. According to political observers, there is a real prospect for the Winslow amendment to be reinserted during this process.
