PokerStars Introduces Time Tourneys

New poker initiative at the major poker site

Players at online poker giant PokerStars will from now on be able to benefit from the site’s new initiative Time Tourneys, which provide time-stretched players with alternative options and is accessible through the TOURNEY tab in PokerStars' lobby.

The Time Tourneys will run for a predetermined amount of time – from 15 minutes to 3 hours. The point of this kind of tourneys is to reward those who still have ships on a table when time runs out with a portion of the prize pool based on their stack size.

In addition to this, another innovation at PokerStars comes in shape of its newly-launched Asia Poker League (APL), which will enable Asian players to compete in daily tournaments against other regional opponents, and earn points to get a slice of a $500 cash prize pool.
