WSOP Europe Main Event Goes to American Pro
Fox takes down the main prize This has been a great week, and indeed an even greater year for US poker pro Elio Fox, who first took down the Bellagio VII tournament for $669,692 in July, and then won the World Series of Poker Europe main event, which brought him EUR1.4 million and took his career earnings to almost $3 million. In the main event, he defeated a number of big names, many of which were at the final table, which comprised: Jake Cody 2,685,000; Dermot Blain 2,405,000; Chris Moorman 2,230,000; Brian Roberts 2,000,000; Max Silver 1,825,000; Moritz Kranich 1,660,000; and Shawn Buchanan 1,015,000. In the heads-up he defeated Chris Moorman, sending him home with quite a paycheck – for EUR800 000, whereas he took the main prize along with his first WSOP bracelet.
