Dutta: Bodog in European Drive
Expansion plans revealed by new marketing chief According to the new marketing manager of Bodog Europe, the online gambling company has big plans for expansion in the European market. Apparently, it is getting ready to launch a number of new services, which will be advertized in a multi-million pound marketing drive that aims at the UK market. Its UK aspirations also include setting up a new UK entity in early 2012 after being granted three licences by the UK Gambling Commission. The company will also add horse racing offering to its offering, whereas it's still working on online casino which will include a live dealer product. Such expansion requires lots of monitoring, so the company has decided to boost its marketing from 20 to 40 members and employ a creative agency to support it. According to Dutta, ”The UK is the largest regulated market in the world today and we want to be part of that. The decision was not taken on market share. The key thing is to develop trust with the UK customer. This is one of the most important things for the industry.” He also assessed that online casino services are a “hugely neglected part of the online gaming space despite being the highest profit generator by far,” adding that the company will dedicate particular attention to their development.
