New application free for download
With an aim to boost its presence in the newly-liberalized Italian online gambling market, online poker giant PokerStars has launched a dedicated Italian poker app, which can be downloaded for free from the iTunes store.
The application is available to Italian residents only, who are known as the biggest users of smartphones and mobiles in Europe. It provides players with cash and tournament play, around the clock, as well as a number of chat facilities, tutorials and a selection of poker genres that includes Texas Hold'em, Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo, playable on multiple tables with a choice of levels.
This will certainly benefit PokerStars' positioning in the Italian market, which is already prominent and supported by its Italian website which enables players to enjoy lucrative tournament and cash games.
