The record attempt will take place on Dec. 4, and it will be accompanied by a number of promotions and a special live broadcast by Pokerstars Radio, whose program will begin some 30 minutes before the record-breaking action, at 17h00 GMT. The broadcast will involve poker presenters Nick Wealthall and Joe Stapleton, and its program will feature a mix of call-ins from the poker world's elite players, studio banter from the hosts, and promotions and competitions. The tournament titled the $1 World Record Tournament has a goal to turn into the biggest online poker tournament ever. It features a $250,000 guarantee prize pool and a cap of 200,000 players, the best of which will earn a guaranteed first prize of $50,000. The tourney also includes $10 bounties on the heads of all Team PokerStars players who take part in the tournament.
