Update: Sen. Reid Disappoints Poker Fans After All
Yet, a proposal may still be attached Despite widespread speculations that Democrat Senator Harry Reid of Nevada would slip an online poker legalization provision in his tax break extension bill, the rumors proved to be overly optimistic this time. Namely, the Senator proposed payroll tax reduction compromise which did not involve any measures of providing additional state revenues such as legalized online poker. However, despite the initial disappointment, poker fans may still keep hoping for a positive outcome, as an attachment could still be made, judging by Reid staff's statements that the Nevada Senator could drive through an Internet poker legalization measure this Congressional session.
