The Palms in Las Vegas this weekend hosted the third major tournament of the US professional Epic Poker League, where Philadelphia professional Chris Klodnicki outplayed the star-studded field and earned himself the hefty main prize - the winner's ring and his biggest paycheck to date: $801,680.
Klodnicki, who plays extensively online under the 'handle' Sloppyklod, in the heads-up faced Andrew Lichtenburger , with whom he played a best-of-three match. In the end, he defeated Lichtenburger in the first two matches, taking down the tournament and deciding on the following setting on the payout list:

With this victory, Klodnicki has become the number two on the leaderboard for the top 27 money earners in the first season of the EPL.
