Hansen tops the 2011 list
This week High Stakes Database has released its statistical list of top earners in online poker industry, and this year it has been headed by Gus 'the Great Dane' Hansen, who finished the year at $3,941,703 up, getting most of the money on Full Tilt Poker before its troubles took over.
With such a high earning, Hansen found himself well ahead of other nine players, which include:
Ilari FIN, $2,183,832
refaelamit, $2,105,597

As for the year's biggest losses, they belong to:

fishosaurusREX, -$1,399,950
kagome kagome, -$1,377,281

Having in mind that FTP's significant share in online poker action virtually ceased after Black Friday in April, most of the players turned to another online poker giant, Pokerstars, where Finnish pro Ilari Sahamies topped the biggest earners list with $2,183,832. One of his achievements is also the largest pot ever played on Pokerstars - $421,826 played on September 7 at a $200/$400 PLO table.
