US and European markets covered
This has been a good week for partnerships at Caesars Interactive Entertainment (CIE), which has issued an announcement of an extension of another long-term strategic partnership with Groupe Lucien Barrière SAS and its Barrière Poker (BP) operation.
Namely, the existing CIE and BP relationship covered the promotion and organization around exclusive WSOP Europe events in France. And thanks to the new technology agreement, WSOP Europe will be exposed to other regulated markets within Europe through the development of a proprietary poker platform.
It has been stated by Stephen Xavier, president of Barrier Poker: "The objective of Barrière Poker is to continue to advance on the French market and it will allow us to accelerate and anticipate international developments."
In addition, Mitch Garber, chief executive officer of CIE, said: "Having reached an initial agreement for the WSOP Europe, we are now happy to build with LB Poker an online strategy through long-term co-development of a proprietary poker platform. The potential for this French technology by LB Poker will help us accelerate our strategy of developing our brands in the online environment in all countries where poker is or will be legal. "
