Update: No Changed WSOP Schedule
Teaser was misinterpreted after all It's now official – there will be no new format of this year's World Series of Poker final table; this became clear after the release of the 2012 WSOP schedule of events. Hence, the unpopular delay of the main event final table will remain – it will only be somewhat shorter this year, and won't start until Oct. 28, in order to prevent it from coinciding with the US presidential elections in November. According to the released schedule this year's, 43rd edition of the championship will include a new major event, the $1 million Big One on July 1, which brings the total number of bracelet events to 61 bracelet events, with the additions also including a $3,000 Mixed NLHE/PLO Heads-Up contest; a $5,000 “Mix-Max” competition; a $2,500 four-handed No-Limit Hold'em event; and a $1,500 Ante Only tournament. There have also been some changes in the big numbers that traditionally come out for the main event, as the first day heats have been reduced to three, an additional day is added to the Day 2 flights...and the traditional day off between Day 1 heats and those of Day 2 has been cut out.
