APPT Seoul Taken Down by US Pro
Pokerstars tournament gathers 268 players Over the weekend, the 2012 PokerStars.net Asian Pacific Poker Tour Seoul main event saw its grand finale, with US player Andrew Kim taking home the first prize worth Korean Won 145,000,000 (GBP 82,235). On his way to the victory, Kim had to defeat a host of big names who were among the 268 players who signed up for the tournament. Many of the reputable players were seen at the final table, which comprised Kim, Vincent Rubianes, Rafael Rodrigo, Moritz Ortmann, Sasa Zorc, Jose Severino, Taewook Kwon, Daisuke Endo and Kenneth Wong. After Sasa Zorc was eliminated in fifth place, the four remaining players agreed to a chop based on chip counts. They then returned to the action, which saw Ortmann and Rodrigo bust out in that order, and Kim and Vincent Rubianes continue the fight for the first placing. In the end Kim triumphed, leaving Rubianes with a second placing paycheck for KRW 90,500,000.
