Euro 495,000 for Jensen
After four days of intense poker action in the Pokerstars European Poker Tour Madrid, the main event saw Danish player Frederik Jensen outplay the total field of 477 contestants and take home Euro 495,000.
Even though the original first place paycheck of $545,000 was subjected to a three-way chop between Fraser MacIntyre, Jensen and third placed Andrei Stoenescu of Romania, the prize remained more than satisfying. In addition, Jensen also claimed the winner's $10,000 Shamballa Jewels bracelet after a tough heads up against Scotland's MacIntrye.
As for the final table, apart from Jensen, MacIntyre and Stoenescu it included Bruno Lopes (France), Ricardo IbaƱez (Spain) Ilan Boujenah and Nicolas Levi (France) and Jason Duval (Canada).
MacIntyre's second placing brought him a comforting paycheck for Euro 290,000.
