Denmark Gets Another EPT Winner
Jannick Wrang victorious in the EPT Campione tournament This weekend saw another Dane score a win at European Poker Tour – this time it was Jannick Wrang who brought the third consecutive EPT win for his countrymen by proving to be the best out of 570 entrants in the inaugural Pokerstars EPT Campione main event. It was no easy way to the victory, especially in the final table, which lasted for 13 hours. Still, Wrang managed to push through and take down his first major live tournament victory, along with the main Euro 640,000 prize, a $10,000 winners bracelet and the EPT trophy. The aforementioned final table comprised some big names – apart from Wrang, there were Olivier Busquet, Fabrice Soulier, Balazs Botond, Joen De Visscher, Mario Nagel, Stefano Puccilli and Robin Ylitalo. In the heads-up, Wrang faced Busquet, but his chip lead kept him alive and kicking throughout the game, so after an hour and a quarter of play, he was able to send Busquet home with a still-comforting runner up prize of Euro 430,000.
