BBC Canada and US Service Broadcasts Story of Online Poker Player
US poker restrictions in the focus… once again Over the weekend, the BBC US and Canada TV service featured a story about poker pro Robert Fellner (28), a man who lives in Las Vegas, but plays poker on the internet – and even this seems to be a rather risky career, thanks to the prohibition imposed by the American federal politics. These poker restrictions in the US were precisely the focus of the story broadcast on BBC, along with the reactions of professional players and experts to current developments. It was stated by the presenter that a number of players decided to relocate from the States due to these restrictive policies, finding a way to earn a living elsewhere. Some of them, he claims, travel very much to participate in international games outside the country. According to Fellner, after Black Friday he had to wait for several weeks for payment, but in the end he received the $150,000 he was owed by PokerStars.
