WPT Vienna Begins
Today marks beginning of the highly anticipated WPT Vienna Main Event (April 10 – 15) at the Montesino Casino in the Austrian capital. This month has had the poker world buzzing for the kick off this much awaited tournament. Last year, 2011, the WPT experienced a record breaking number of participants. This stop in Vienna is expected to attract more than 500 runners and boasts a first place prize of $500 grand. Some of the poker industries finest have spent the last week taking part in high-stakes action at a WPT special event at PartyPoker.com's Premier League V and are and are participating in this year's WPT Vienna. The $125,000 buy-in Party Poker Premier League V final table will seat UK poker player, Matt Frankland, who is headed for the finale of the event as the chip leader during the semi-final stages. Frankland qualified to take part in the event last week and lead Group A after four rounds of Sit ´n´ Go tournaments against Sam Trickett, Tony G, Phil Laak, Erik Seidel, Andy Frankenberger, Eugene Katchalov and Luke Schwartz. The Main Event begins today, and the final table is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 15th with live streaming will be available on the WPT website.
