Update: New Features on PTR

Data-mining website enables players to manage their profiles Although in beta phase, a new feature by data mining company Poker Table Ratings (PTR) will be beneficial for so many of its users, as it enables players, under their poker screen name, to moderate comments made by others on their PTR profile. This player profile management feature also allows avatar personalization and has biography capabilities. Furthermore, the company said it plans to expand the current options, currently enabled for the Cake, Merge, OnGame, Party Poker and iPoker networks, striving to offer more customization and privacy setting options soon. It is believed that all this is just an introduction to the opt-in or out functionality for players, requested by PokerStars last month, which should be set up in near future. According to a PTR statement, “As many of you know, PokerStars requested that we change our poker results pages for their players. We have fully agreed to do so and are already making the changes necessary to be entirely within their terms and conditions for 3rd party websites. "Our goal is to be a positive influence on the online poker community for players and brands alike, a place where poker players from all levels, stakes, and backgrounds can come and enjoy the features we offer.”
