$118,606.67 for the Brit pro
Over the weekend, Pokerstars' Spring Championship of Online Poker saw the main prize go to 30-year-old UK poker pro Julian "MrCoco" Gardner, who outplayed others at the final table and beat them to the hefty payout of $118,606.67 in the $1,000 buy-in Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Max w/ Rebuys event.
There were 241 players in total at the event, including names such as Dan Kelly, Fredrik Halling, John Leathart, Jason Gray, Michael Benvenuti, and Rami Boukai, whereas some of the big names that sat at the final table included Phil Galfond and Jason Mercier.
Once the final table came down to just three players - Mercier, Galfond and Gardner – they decided to make a three-way chop, leaving $4,000 on the table for the winner.
Therefore, thanks to his slight chip lead, Gardner managed to take the main prize, leaving the other two with more than comforting $114,606.67 apiece.
