Online Poker News - PokerStars Improves VIP Program
2nd of June 2012 - latestpokerbonuses.com
As many poker players are well aware of, PokerStars made some significant changes to their VIP Program this year. According to the site, these changes were implemented in an attempt to reward a wider range of players including those casual poker players.
The modifications to the VIP program actually made reaching VIP levels increasingly more difficult for some players. This caused enough dissatisfaction and controversy that PokerStars since opted to gather poker industry representatives, including players, together to conduct a private meeting in hopes of gaining some valuable insight.
As luck would have it, the meeting lead to a new VIP Bonus exchange, which has brought down the previous threshold across the board. Players from the first level, Bronze Star, to the highest Supernova Elite can now expect a 50% reduction in the amount of VPP”s they must build up before redeeming.
The actual exchange rate has not changed but players will not have to accumulate as many VPP’s before cashing them in. With the new scheme, Bronze Star players can now redeem 1,000 FPP’s and receive $10. The reduction in VPP’s exchange is will affect each level with every PokerStars VIP status experiencing a substantial reduction.
