Update: Delaware Making Progress in Intrastate Online Gambling Legalization
HB333 heading for full Senate vote on June 26 The process of intrastate online gambling legalization in Delaware is entering final stages to see this US state joining Nevada and New Jersey in passing positive legislations. Last week's approval of the HB333 proposal by the State House led to the Senate decision to pass the bill at its Wednesday meeting and opened the door to a full Senate vote scheduled for June 26. The positive vote for the proposed bill jointly with the Governor Jack Markell's signature will result in legalization of internet poker, slots, table games and keno, in addition to allowing further sports betting promotion. It is worth noting the governor openly supported the legislation initiative. The attempt of the horse racing supporters to stop progressing of the measure on Wednesday proved unsuccessful, especially in view of the fact that their industry has been relying on the online gambling channel for many a year owing to the carve-outs in federal legislations.
