Guidelines published by AAMS
This week, the Italian online gambling regulator AAMS published its guidelines about the highly popular poker variant - fast-fold poker, which will soon become available on dedicated Italian online poker sites.
It has been reported that the guidelines state that players will be able to join a maximum simultaneous player pool of 5,000, with each individual fast poker table seating the maximum of 10. Also, a maximum stake has been set to Euro 1,000 per session, the same as in poker cash games and tournaments. Once the limit is reached, players will have to reload from their account.
In addition, if they wish to provide this poker variant, operators will have to apply for a specific license; the provisions of the guidelines also prescribe that individual session times should be no longer than 72 hours.
This extremely popular online poker genre was first introduced by Full Tilt Poker, but it was soon taken up by many other companies, including Pokerstars, Microgaming, Relax Gaming, Playtech and others.
