New Merger in French Online Poker Market

Mypok and PokerXtrem now joint under the Mypok brand

The latest news from the French online poker market involve news that the merger of French online poker rooms Mypok and PokerXtrem under the Mypok brand has been approved by the French regulator ARJEL, effective July 31st.

The merger aims at boosting player liquidity and introducing a more competitive commercial offering to players.

It has also been explained by Georges Djen, a PokerXtrem director: "We relied heavily on marketing efforts by 888 and Microgaming that did not materialise, forcing us to work together in order to survive and develop joint promotional vehicles."

He added that the partners had decided not to 'throw in the towel', in favor of the more positive course of a merger and a decision to remain in the French market.
