The time has come for The British Poker Awards and the nominees have been selected. It's now up to the public to determine the cream of the crop. The British Poker Awards site has gone live and the voting can now commence. Voters will find 11 categories in total which include: “Best Cash Player,” “Best Tournament Player,” “Best Online Player,” “Best Poker League,” “Best Poker Forum” and “Poker Personality of the Year.” A group of experts within the poker industry got together and put forth the nominees. Among the selection group were representatives from Bluff Europe, PokerNews.com, Poker Strategy.com, as well as Jesse May. Voters have until 17th September 2012 to cast their votes as the awards ceremony will commence. The public can purchase tickets to the awards event by visiting www.thebritishpokerawards.eventbrite.co.uk. The cost per ticket us just £20. “It's been a great year for British Poker, with lots of really young guys coming through and established guys, like Sam Trickett, cementing themselves as worldwide superstars of the game,” said organizer Michael Caselli. “The British Poker Awards is part of the wider London Poker Festival, which is all about celebrating the game in this country, so it's only natural that the poker community itself should decide who gets the awards.”
