A confirmation was issued this week by the Betclic Everest Group (BEG) that it will move its BetClic Everest poker brand to Playtech's iPoker Network, most likely before the year’s end.
This movement will come as an expansion of the existing deal the company has with Playtech, and the new platform will be used for both international markets and the Group's French operation.
The group further specified that it will now be able to concentrate on marketing, promotional offers and new tournament concepts, all thanks to the deal.
"The French market remains a priority market for us. We believe that the combination of BetClic-Everest Group, one of the leading operators in the French market and our technology solutions reinforces our strategy on regulated markets. This partnership extends beyond France, and is of benefit to our two groups with greater liquidity, advanced technology and closer relations," said Mor Weiser, chief executive officer of Playtech.
On behalf of BET, its CEO Ignacio Martos, added: "Playtech is the best way to improve the experience of our customers and our liquidity and to offer our community a better interface to the latest industry standards. With this partnership, we continue our strategy to offer the best online gaming experience to our players and to consolidate our position in key European markets where we are present."
Whether the group will fall into the top-tier of the recently split iPoker network is not known at present.
