This week saw the end of the Pokerstars Macau Poker Cup Championship 2012, which was taken down by a local businessman Rui Chen (37), who entered the HKD 20,000 buy-in competition through a HKD 1,100 Pokerstars satellite. Chen emerged the winner among a handful of strong final table survivors, who comprised Yosuke Sekiya, Wenlong Jin, Sunny Jung, Kevin Kung, Jessica Ngu, Lisi Wei, Ryan Hong and Robert Streatfield. After a 12-hour final table action, Chen faced his final opponent – Yosuke Sekiya of Japan, whom he managed to outplay and send home with a runner-up prize of HKD759,000. Chen's winner's paycheck was worth HKD $1,108,500 (around US$ 143,000).
