The latest casualties at the 2012 World Series of Poker main event final table are 33-year-old Las Vegas player Jeremy Ausmus, and Russel Thomas, who busted out on fifth and fourth position respectively.
Ausmus was busted out by Jesse Sylvia and had to settle with the fifth placing prize of $2,155,313 fifth prize, which will hopefully manage to heal his obvious disappointment at the exit.
As for 24-year-old Thomas, he fell victim to Jake Balsiger, and received a handy $2,851,537.
These eliminations left Balsiger, Sylvia and Merson to compete for the main prize of $8.5 million, with each of them facing a prize of at least $3,799,073 when the play resumes on Oct. 31.
At the moment, their chip counts are the following:
Greg Merson – 88,350,000
Jesse Sylvia – 62,750,000
Jake Balsiger – 46,875,000
