Caesars Interactive Recommended by NGCB for Online Poker License
On Dec. 6, the Nevada State Gaming Control Board (GCB) recommended Caesars Interactive Entertainment, the online arm of Caesars Entertainment Corp., for the award of an online poker license. It now needs an approval of the Nevada Gaming Commission which is scheduled to assess the GCB's recommendation on December 20; this means that Caesars could get its license before the end of the year. Thanks to this license and provided that its partner 888 Holdings LLC plc also obtains Nevada licensing, Caesars and 888 will launch a World Series of Poker-branded online poker offering. “Once 888 is licensed, the intent is to go live in Nevada at that moment,” explained Mitch Garber, chief executive officer of Caesars Interactive Entertainment.
