Bridgewater Associates CEO Greg Jensen Donates Poker Winnings to Victims of Connecticut Shooting
Up against 46 other players some of which are pros, Bridgewater Associates CEO Greg Jensen managed to secure sixth place in the $100,000 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Super High Roller tournament. What's more amazing is that Jensen donated all $286,200 of his winnings to the victims of the recent school shooting in Connecticut. In his younger days, Jensen played poker for fun and had years of amateur experience behind him. He ended up at the Main Event after a colleague gave him the $100,000 seat for his birthday. Jensen's career at Bridgewater began while he was an intern at Dartmouth and now holds the co-CEO and co-CIO position with founder Ray Dalio. 26 people were killed in the shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. The final victims were laid to rest just before Christmas. It was an amazing act of kindness and we couldn't imagine a better way to spend poker winnings.
