WPT Paris Goes to Local Player
The title, the main prize of Euro 270,000 and the honors of the World Poker Tour Paris main event went to the hands of skillful Frenchman Laurent Polito. The online and live poker pro managed to outplay the field of 229 players in four days of action at the Euro 1,500 buy-in competition, facing some formidable opponents at the final table which comprised Stéphane Benadiba, Omar Lakhdari, Antoine Saout, Paul Fayngersh, Yossi Iffergan, Florent Estegassy and Damien Lhommeau. Facing Benadiba in the heads up, Polito successfully dominated the action and sent his opponent home with a paycheck to Euro 52,000.
