Mizrachi Takes Down WSOP Circuit South Africa Main Event
This week US poker pro Michael Mizrachi bested a field of mostly local players in the World Series of Poker Circuit South Africa main event, earning the first prize of $101,267 and a winner's ring. The competition held at the Emerald Casino in South Africa saw Mizrachi and 115 other entrants play in the $3,300 buy-in event for a lion's share of the $380,000 prize pool. Apart from Mizrachi, another international star was Scotty Nguyen, who did not make it to the final table. The final table comprised great players, such as Mizrachi and Karl Myburgh, Markus Faurie, Jarred Solomon, Kinesh Pather, Kenny Morgan, Menesh Keshav, Eric Brand and Warren Zackey. As for the heads-up, this is where Mizrachi eliminated his last opponent, Karl Myburgh, who went home with a second placing prize of $62,590.
