PokerStars Gets New Poker Spokesman
An announcement came this week from the Isle of Man headquarters of Pokerstars that the company has appointed poker player, author and commentator, Lee Jones as its head of poker communications, reporting to the parent group's head of corporate communications, Eric Hollreiser. On his new position, Jones will be in charge of all poker-related issues involving Pokerstars, responsibilities in which, according to Hollreiser, few industry people could match Jones's capabilities and knowledge. β€œIn this role, Lee will focus full-time on using his knowledge and experience to engage audiences in forums, media, events, blogs and internally, infusing in all of us his passion and love for the game,” he said. Commenting on his new job, Jones stated: β€œI love poker, and I love being part of the broader poker community. This new role will allow me to serve as the community's representative to PokerStars, as well as PokerStars' representative to the poker community.”
