February was a Bad Month for Phil Ivey
One poker pro reportedly lost more than $1 million playing online poker in February. Phil Ivey was down $1.1 million which contributes to his performance since Full Tilt Poker was shut down in April 2011. Ivey managed to pull off a decent win approximately one month ago. He won $750,000 over the course of a week in January but unfortunately he has lost that and then some last month. Isildur 1, aka Vicktor Blum, has also joined Mr. Ivey's bad luck club. He lost a whopping $1.5 million which seem to have voided all his online poker earnings this year thus far. On the flip side, February proved to be a great month for Tom Dwan. He snagged $2 million during a few successful poker sessions. On the business end of things, Ivey is excelling. In December he launched his online poker room and it recently acquired the online training site, Leggo Poker. The Ivey League team of pros involved in Ivey Poker will now work alongside the Leggo Poker team to create one fabulous team. Regarding the acquisition, Ivey had this to say, “In my opinion, Leggo Poker is one of the best teaching sites on the market. They are a great match with IveyPoker and together we will offer a top-notch educational poker destination in the Ivey League.”
