Pennsylvania's Positioning Among Online Poker Leaders
Pennsylvanian representative Tina Davies confirmed she is ready to introduce an online poker legalization bill which will position the state among the leading states - Delaware, Nevada, and New Jersey - all with legalization laws on their books. Davies intends to ensure that Pennsylvania was not left behind in the trend toward online gambling, seeking to maintain the state's position as the second biggest gambling market in the United States. She is well-prepared to launch her proposal next week, suggesting that a license fee of $16.7 million and reasonable tax rates be imposed on operators. With 12.7 million residents, Pennsylvania could offer the largest pool of poker players with included interstate compacts in its internet poker law.
