On March 10, three team Pokerstars pros led by Daniel Negreanu won a heads-up poker competition against the pros from sister site Full Tilt Poker and rather compellingly, too – the trio comprising Negreanu, Bertrand Grospellier and Isaac Haxton won eight of the nine games.
This enabled them to leave the other side, Gus Hansen, who captained Viktor Blom and Tom Dwan on the defeated Full Tilt team, without the $150,000 put up in prizes. However, according to Hansen, there may be a rematch to recompense for the 3-0 defeat.
As for the action itself, first Grospellier whitewashed Blom 3 - 0 in the first round, then Haxton emerged victorious against Dwan 2 – 1, and finally, Negreanu dispatched Hansen 3 - 0.
