Gutshot Poker Has New Owner… And New Controversial Rules
An online company Gutshot Poker has a new owner following its acquisition by the Betsnetwork Group. Only recently Gutshot has seen more than its fair share of trials and tribulations on the Merge Poker Network. The change of ownership has been accompanied by a switch to the US-facing Revolution Poker Network, with Gutshot also operating on two other networks - Amaya's Ongame and Play2B. Gutshot is being operated by Goalgaming Ltd., which is related to the Play2B network and its founder, Francesco Merighi. The company has indicated that it plans to introduce casino games and sports betting to the Gutshot operation soon. As for the new management's moves, some of them might be seen as controversial: - telling players that their deposits have been converted to bonuses which require them to meet conditions including set rake rates before they can make withdrawals. - requiring that players play on a regular basis; for every month they do not play, the operator will chop 10 percent of their account balances. There is a deadline until April 7 for players to log in and accept these conditions, with the implication being that there is really no alternative.
