An announcement came this week that the Montreal-based internet gambling software development group Amaya Gaming, will be the lead sponsor for the annual Global iGaming Summit and Expo (GIGSE), which takes place on April 23-25, 2013, in San Francisco, California.
In an announcement of the sponsorship, Darcy Krogh, Amaya's vice president of business development, said that the American online gambling scene has become exciting and interesting, with more and more US states being interested in legalizing the pastime.
“With the better part of the attention being focused towards poker, we will be showcasing our poker network at GiGse and help demonstrate what that can mean for an American casino operator wishing to make the switch online,” he said.
In line with the sponsorship deal, one of the keynote speakers at the conference will be Amaya CEO David Baazov, who will discuss the convergence of gaming content and technology across multiple channels.
