Late this week, the Asian Poker Tour Manila Millions saw Joseph Cheong take home the title along with HK$10.4 million (US$1.34 million) for besting the field of 18 entrants to the super high rollers event with a HK$ 1 million buy-in.
On his way to the triumph, Cheong had to face some other reputable pros, such as Joe Hachem, Sam Trickett, Philipp Gurissem and others. He scored the big win in a preflop all-in battle against Richard Yong.
For his trouble, Yong also received a lucrative prize of HK$ 6.5 million, while the third-placed Richard Peter Chan earned himself HK$ 4.1 million.
