Latin American Poker Tour Ends with Brazil Tournament and Local Winner
Local player Victor Sbrissa won this week the Brazil tournament within the Season Six of the Latin American Poker Tour and took home his biggest prize so far earned in online and live competitions in the amount of $255,400. The last tournament within the tour took place at the Tivoli Hotel in Sao Paulo attracting 750 players including the majors such as Leo Fernandez and Andre Akkari. The $4,000 buy-in saw interesting battles over several days until the final table was formed welcoming Sbrissa and Daniel Murta, Rafael Pardo, Leonardo Brescia, Andre Akkari, Marcos Paulo Ximenes, Leo Fernandez and Thiago Grigoletti. Sbrissa managed to maintain a strong chip advantage over his last opponent, Daniel Murta, even before the heads-up stage and did not waste time before closing the game to his advantage and sending Murta home with the second place prize of $166,684. The local player's success was celebrated by the number of present supporters.
