EPT Grand Final High Roller Event Honors Go to Steve 'Zugwat' Silverman
Over the weekend, 25-year-old online and live tourney poker pro Steve "Zugwat" Silverman from Bethesda in Maryland, US took down the Euro 25,000 High Roller event at the European Poker Tour Grand Final in Monaco earning his biggest paycheck on the way. He encountered some formidable opposition like Vanessa Selbst, Igor Kurganov and other highly experienced players, facing the two along with Tony Gregg, Fadar Kamar, Toby Lewis, Chris Moore and Victor Sbrissa in the final table. After eliminating Selbst in fourth place, Silverman, Tony Gregg and Fada Kamar decided on a three-way chop that earned each Euro 760,000 with Euro 15,000 left on the table as the winner's bonus. It was down to Gregg and Silverman in the heads-up, and it took Silverman just a couple of hands to earn the winner's additional Euro 15,000 and the Shamballa Jewels winner's bracelet.
