An announcement came this week that on June 9, online poker operator Full Tilt Poker will launch a new online poker tournament series titled Micro Turbo Online Poker Series (MTOPS).
The new tourney format is particularly suitable for micro- and low-stakes players, and it includes 75 multi-entry events which will offer over $2 million in guaranteed prizes. It will also support a wide range of game-styles, including Irish, Courchevel and 5-Card Stud.
The high point of the tournament which will run through to June 23 will be a NLHE main event that features a buy-in of $15 and a guaranteed $1 million prize pool, and it will be held on the last day of the tourney.
Commenting on the novelty, Sarne Lightman, Full Tilt Poker's head of marketing, said: "MTOPS features a huge variety of games, big prize pools and some of the smallest buy-ins we have ever offered. The Multi-Entry Turbo Format means even the most time-constrained players will be able to compete in what will be one of our most exciting and affordable tournament series yet."
