It was an excellent week for German poker pro Niklas Heinecker (28) who took down the GuangDong Ltd Asia Millions along with his best win to date - US$4,464,516.
In order to triumph in the US$130,000 buy-in Super High Roller with Rebuys played at Pokerstars' new LIVE facility in Macau, where each player was permitted two re-buys, Heinecker had to pass a formidable final table which also included Jeff Rossiter, Sorel Mizzi, Zheng Tang, Isaac Haxton, Igor Kurganov, Anson Tsang and Pratyush Budigga.
The players got eliminated one by one, until Heinecker and Australian pro Jeff Rossiter remained the only survivors, at which point the German was holding a 3 to 1 chip lead. Accordingly, in just a few hands Heinecker sent Rossiter home with a second placing check for US$3,161,290.
