Nevada Online Poker License Granted to Aristotle International
A US provider of geolocation and ID verification services, Aristotle International, on June 7 received a final nod from the Nevada Gaming Commission, which enables its Integrity division to get into the Nevada legalized online poker market as a licensed service provider. Commenting on this new development, CEO John Aristotle Phillips, a co-founder of the company said: "For more than a decade, Integrity has pioneered the development of widely accepted compliance and age-verification technology for the commercial and government sectors. "Integrity is the most comprehensive and cost-effective tool for online age- and identity-verification. We've tailored it to be available across multiple platforms to enable a safe venue for adults while mitigating risk and insuring compliance for operators. "Aristotle has performed over 50 million verifications since the inception of our Integrity group. It's a safe bet that our experience and robust infrastructure will enable licensed Nevada gaming companies to meet the building demand for instantaneous player on-boarding that is anticipated," said Phillips of his company's product which meets and exceeds not only Nevada's stringent requirements, but also anticipated federal requirements prohibiting underage gambling, as outlined in the latest legislation introduced by Congressman Peter King. Through Integrity's product the identity of people from over 135 countries can be verified in three seconds or less, based upon a comparison of player information with the company's deep databases of government and public ID data. What caught the Commission members' eye was the fact that Aristotle Integrity verification includes an innovative video verification using Skype, previously evaluated and approved by the Federal Trade Commission for compliance purposes under COPPA, The Child Online Privacy Protection Act. In related news, Aristotle announced that Aristocrat Technologies has chosen it as its provider for player identification services. According to Atul Bali, President of Aristocrat Technologies Inc., "We carefully evaluated player identification providers with the goal of keeping underage individuals off of our partners' gaming sites, and we found Aristotle was the best choice to achieve our goals in this area. We are pleased that the Nevada Gaming Board and Nevada Gambling Commission unanimously approved Aristotle's Gaming Supplier License."
