Poker In Venice Network Owes Players and Faces Financial Difficulties
Amidst reports that the Poker In Venice (PIV) multi-software network has not been paying its players for an extended amount of time, rumors started arising that the company is unable to meet its financial obligations. The Malta-licensed network reportedly owes its players over Euro 200,000, and according to its spokesmen, the financial difficulties which resulted in the payout issues have been caused by "third parties". On the other hand, despite the payment issues, PIV has continued to accept deposits and was offering bonuses this month, while in May it referred players to the P2B affiliate network skin Tempura Poker where they could play their PIV account balances, but only under conditions that included generating three quarters of the value of their balances in rake. One player whose funds are now trapped with PIV was willing to share the response he got from a PIV lawyer, in which he says something that indicates that a beleaguered Muchos Poker network could be involved in the PIV issues, too. This is what he wrote: "Without Prejudice, "I have been instructed by PIVGAME Ltd (the “Company”) to reply to your latest email. "My client has confirmed that all monies pertaining to your account are held by Muchos Poker or for Muchos' account and not PIVGAME Ltd. PIVGAME Ltd has terminated its arrangement with Muchos in October 2012 and therefore your claim should be directed to Muchos." Needless to say, this claim has been denied by Muchos Poker, which has recently faced a ban from the iPoker Network. One of the main characteristics of PIV is that it's an affiliate-style network, which offers access to six different networks, including Ongame, InstaDeal, Merge Gaming, Revolution Gaming, Enet and Play2B, so players' deposits into Poker in Venice are transferred between the networks and skins when a player wishes to move to another network. The supported sites are believed to include Target Poker, 4Donk, PokerXE and Howdy Poker.
