Event 17 at the World Series of Poker - a $1,500 buy-in no-Limit hold'em competition earned American professional player Athanasios Polychronopoulos his second WSOP bracelet, along with the main prize of $518,755. Interestingly, his first bracelet in 2011 came from the same event, only this time he bested a field of 2,104 entrants which in the end winded down to a final table that comprised Polychronopoulos, Manuel Mutke, Everett Carlton. former WSOP main event champ Joe Cada, Samuel Taylor, Michael Kurth, Joe Ward, David "Bakes" Baker and Thomas Nicotera. In the heads-up of the event, Polychronopoulos faced Manuel Mutke who was not strong enough to oppose him for more than half an hour, after which he was sent home with the still-respectable second placing paycheck to $322,908.
