Growing Anticipation of Third Nevada Licensee Launch Date
As Nevada online poker site Ultimate Gaming has been attracting a growing number of players, and with CIE's offering WSOP most likely to be launched in October, there are now indications that South Point Hotel Casino & Spa, the third Nevada online poker licensee, is closing in on a launch date. The Las Vegas-based company was granted a license back in August 2012, but while building up its proprietary online poker software capability for some time, it missed its original 2012 target lunch. Nowadays South Point is branding its real money poker site Real Gaming - a reference to a new brand created by company's CEO Mark Gaughan for a proprietary poker client developed in-house, and Global Cash Access is chosen as a payment processor to facilitate cash outs and deposits of real money action. Lawrence Vaughan, chief operating officer, said that company's "home-grown" operation was built with Nevada regulations front-of-mind, and incorporates a slew of consumer and other protections. Recent South Point's marketing efforts designed to get players to register in anticipation of the commencement of real-money operations indicate that a launch may be imminent.
