More Players Report Complaints in European Poker Tour Barcelona Laptop Tampering Case
More players have reported being the victims of the laptop tampering incidents at the European Poker Tour Barcelona. After the Jens “Jeans” Kyllönen, Ignat "0human0" Liviu, Aku Joentausta and Lauri Pesonen reported complaints, no additional information regarding the investigations is available but there have been players posting that they fear they may have been victims on various online poker message boards and social media sites. Ankush "pistons87" Mandavia reported several calls made to his hotel room and moments when his card was not working. His friend, only known as Spektah noticed that his laptop password had been removed and his computer was frozen in addition to several other reports. The poker publication Poker News discusses Jason Koon, who believed his laptop was tampered with he was playing in the EPT Deauville live tournament and staying in PokerStars recommended accommodations. Koon discovered that his laptop password had been erased. He then logged into a Swedish-registered account using the handle 'PookLook2' on $1,000 and $5,000 heads-up sit-n-gos on Full Tilt Poker losing $48,000 on the previously $15 buy-in games. Not much progress seems to have been made in solving this case.
