PokerStars Declined for NJ Online Gambling License
It is being reported that the parent company of PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, Rational Group, partnered with Atlantic City Casino and Hotel Resorts have not been approved for a New Jersey online gambling license. Talk of the lack of licensing peaked interest last week and a poker news site wrote: "The source indicated that the DGE [New Jersey Division for Gambling Enforcement] is taking issue with the purported involvement of PokerStars founder Isai Scheinberg, who faces ongoing federal indictment, in the company despite promises to federal authorities that he would no longer hold any management positions.” There will likely be more information released regarding the decline of Rational Group's application and possibly a public statement.
