Russian Poker Player Takes the European Poker Tour High Roller
A young pro poker player from Russia Ian Soshnikov claims victory over 176 players. Entry to the live tournament was $10,000 for a seat. The Russian was considered low stack man at the final table with opponents that included: Olivier Busquet; Dmitry Yurasov; Thomas Muhlocker; Mike “Timex” McDonald; Andy Seth; Vanessa Selbst; Max Heinzelmann; Jeff Rossiter and Oleksii Khoroshenin. In just six levels of play it was a heads up game between Oliver Busquet and Soshnikov after he knocked out third place Dmitry Yurasov placing him as the massive chip leader. He knocked out Busquet in second place for Euro 257,850 taking first place for Euro 382,050.
