Julian Thomas Takes Top Spot in WPT Prague Main Event
German player Julian Thomas beat out 305 hopefuls winning the main event of the World Poker Tour Prague and top prize of $283,827. Thomas didn't start off in the led at the final table with Vasili Firsau from Belarus; Russian player Andrey Shatilov; Gintaras Simaitis from Lithuania; Serbia's Ognjen Sekularac and Valeri Savov from Bulgaria. Thomas faced off against Firsau and Shatilov and the excitement came to a head when Shatilov was eliminated and took third along with $116,982. It wasn't long before Firsau followed. This marks Thomas' largest live tournament win to date.
